A Follow Up To My Last Post

Hello Everyone,

In my last post, I had said that I will continue my 9 Day Cleanse for another week and let you know how I made out. I am now happy to report that I have gone down one dress size. I was originally wearing a size 10, now I am back to a size 8. I have never felt better. Now that I am using ISAGENIX, I don't have the desire to eat a lot of junk food, and when I do, I always feel guilty, but relieved that I can use this to lose weight in a safe and natural way. I truly love this product and would highly recommend it to anyone who asks me what I have been doing to lose my weight.

DAY 9 – Monday 16th October – I Made It!

This is my last day on this program. I promised that I would weigh myself to see if I have lost a few inches.

Unfortunately, I have decided to hold off the weigh in and measurement, as I have decided to do another 9 day cleanse, and this time, I will not be cheating. I will be writing updates on my progress when necessary.

If there are any readers who incorporate a cleansing as part of their health and wellness program, and would like to share their experience, I would love to hear from you.

----------------------------

Since I have started taking the ISAGENIX products, I have never felt better! My appetite has improved; I have more energy and I feel great.

I would also like to thank my coach Shar, who has been a great support for me throughout my experience and is there for me whenever I need advice. Her bubbly and enthusiastic personality made the transition an enjoyable one. She was able to put all my fears at ease. I am so glad I have Shar as my coach and friend! Thanks Shar, you’re the best!

If you are considering a body cleanse and looking for a safe and natural body cleansing product, I would highly recommend ISAGENIX!

If I continue to feel this way and notice an overall improvement in my health, I will definitely be using ISAGENIX for years to come!!!

DAY 8 – Sunday 15th October 2006- Another Soup or Shake Day

My day has started off as my previous soup or shake days. I am still feeling great.

I don't want to gross anyone out, and I apologize if I do, but there is something that I feel I must write. I don't know how I can write this any better, but I have noticed that my bowels are darker in colour. I have been told that this is because my colon is being cleaned and I am eliminating toxins and impurities which my body has been storing. Isagenix really works!

DAY 7 – Saturday 14th October 2006 – The Beat Goes On

Here we are again, day 7. Two more days before I weigh and measure myself. I am really enjoying the shakes, they really fill me up.

When we left off yesterday, I told you I had a personal training session at 1:30 p.m. For lunch, I ate 1 and a half chicken breast sandwich and the 2nd accelerator capsule. Oh, and lots of water. I felt I ate enough to carry me through my training without feeling weak.

I am so excited. My clothes are not as snug and I think I have lost a few inches.

My training session was great. I completed it without feeling nauseous or dizzy. I can't wait to see how I will look after I have been on this cleansing program for a month.

DAY 6 – Soup or Shake Day – Friday 13th October 2006

I did not go to bed until 1:15 a.m. in the morning, and I am a little tired today. I was on my laptop updating this Blog, checking emails, and trying to update my website. I really need to find the happy medium between my job and home life. I love surfing the Internet and working on my Blog and website, but it is so time consuming. If I don’t try to at least spend a few hours every night, I will always be behind the eight ball. Oh, I’m sorry, I am digressing. I am supposed to be writing about my cleansing, not about my time management or lack there of.

As I was saying before, I woke up feeling a little tired today due to lack of sleep. I brought a bunch of bananas and I was going to have one with my shake for breakfast. Instead I had the shake, an accelerator capsule and 1 apple. I love that the shake really fills me up. Another positive about this is the amount of money I am saving each week. Every morning on my way to work, I used to stop off at my favorite restaurant and buy a fresh fruit salad which cost $5. That’s $25 a week I would spend on fruit salad alone, not to mention, the grapes, apples and bananas I would also buy. If I continue drinking the shake for breakfast, (and I know I will) I will be saving $100 a month, which adds up to $1,200 a year! That’s money staying in my bank account. $1,200 might not seem like a lot to some people, but if you multiply that by 4 years at least, which is how long I have been buying fruit salad for breakfast, well, need I say more?

If my coach Shar reads what I had for lunch and I know she will, (because I will be sending her a link), she will kill me!! Sorry Shar, today’s menu at the cafeteria was not a good one, but it is pouring with rain outside with the occasional thunder and lightning, so you know I am not stepping foot outside.

Today’s menu at our staff cafeteria was:-

Spaghetti

Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Peas & Carrots

Roast Beef

Pizza – Pepperoni, Mexican, Hawaiian, Vegetarian, Spicy Chicken

Salads

Soups

My lunch consisted of tossed salad, beets, 2 slices of pizza and a few slices of roast beef. I know such a terrible food selection. Shar, I know you have a way of turning anyone’s negative setback into a positive, but I can’t see how you are going to try to make me feel good about eating this!

The only good thing about this lunch was the accelerator capsule I had and the water I am drinking to try to flush this out!

My supper consisted of a lean shake, lots of water and 2 Isagenix snacks. I know this will satisfy my hunger as I will be spending the next few hours updating my website and answering emails.

Tomorrow will be another challenging day for me. I have a personal weight training session at the gym. Although it's only for an half hour, it feels like eternity. My trainer is very tough and he 'takes no prisoners'

The hardest part for me tomorrow will be surviving on a shake for breakfast and having enough fuel in my system before my training starts at 1:30 p.m. I am going to make sure I have a decent lunch, but not so much where I might get sick. I can't let that happen.

Come back tomorrow, and I will let you know what happened.

Here's the website for Magnum's Power Force Gym in Bermuda which I have been a member for the past 7 years. If you ever plan a trip to Bermuda, and would like to work out on a day pass, you might want to check this gym out.

Until tomorrow.....

DAY 5 – Soup or Shake Day – Thursday 12th October 2006

Well, here I am. It's Day 5 the Soup or Shake Day and I am feeling really good. Even though I had a few relapses, I am still excited. I must have lost a few inches, because I can now wear the ring that was too small for my ‘wedding’ finger! I can only image how much more inches I would have lost had I not had the relapses!

The Soup or Shake Day is the same as the ‘Pre-Cleansing’ Days. For Breakfast, I started with the Isalean Shake, 1 natural accelerator capsule and a banana. I must admit, after drinking this shake, I do not have the desire to eat anything else in between meals, so I have greatly cut down on the Isagenix snacks.

I eat a lot of leftovers, so my lunch consisted of broiled fillet fish, a few boiled potatoes, (no butter) and fresh cooked string beans and the 2nd accelerator capsule. I am also drinking plenty of water.

My last meal for the night is an Isagenix Shake and plenty of water.

DAY 4 – Cleansing Day – Wednesday 11th October 2006

Wednesday marks the second of my 2 day cleansing period. I woke up this morning feeling great! I noticed, I am not as tired and I have more energy. For breakfast, I had the cleansing liquid, one accelerator capsule and 2 Isagenix snacks. Although it’s just day 4, I am much more alert.

I had forgotten that I had a lunch date that I had confirmed before I started my program. I could not back out of it, so I had to go. I felt really bad because I was supposed to be cleansing all day, but here I was eating a meal! I tried to make the meal as healthy as possible, so I had grilled Wahoo fish, fresh steamed vegetables and potatoes.

I felt so guilty that I had another ‘relapse’ I had to talk to my cleansing coach, Shar at Bizbuilders. Shar is such an outgoing, positive person; she makes me feel so much at ease. If I felt what I did was wrong, Shar has a way of turning any negative aspect into a positive. I told her about my meal I had for lunch, and she had advised me that it was okay, because it was a nutritional meal. I wanted to know if I had totally messed up my cleansing day, but she had reassured me that I could still continue. As I only had the 1st of 4 cleansing mixtures, and it was still early in the afternoon, I had to ‘double up’ my dosage which I was to have as my supper, and than take the last 4 ounces before I went to bed.

DAY 3 – Cleansing Day – Tuesday 10th October 2006

Today is my first ever cleansing day. I woke up feeling really nervous. This is my first body detoxification, and I really don’t know what to expect. On top of that, I did not realize I cannot eat a meal! I have never been without food for more than a few hours, much less a whole day! I am wondering how I am going to feel, if I will faint from lack of food or energy. The pamphlet that comes with the program has never left my side since I started, and I refer back to it every minute to make sure I am doing everything correctly.

Cleanse day consists of mixing 4 ounces of the cleansing liquid in an 8oz glass of ice cold water and drinking this 4 times a day. I also take 1 natural accelerator capsule twice a day, and as always, plenty of water.

The thought of only drinking water mixed with the cleansing liquid 4 times a day seems very foreign to me.

The pamphlet says to help curve cravings; I can eat the ISAGENIX Snacks which are chewable tablets. I am allowed 6 tablets a day during my cleansing regime.

I drank a glass of cold water mixed with the cleansing liquid for breakfast. The cleansing liquid comes in Mixed Berry or Tropical Paradise flavours. I chose the Tropical Paradise flavour. It has a pleasant taste. So far it’s been a few hours since I had my first serving, and I must admit I feel pretty good. Usually by now, I would be munching on some grapes or eating my fruit salad, but I don’t have that urge.

Lunch consisted of another glass of cleansing formula, my second accelerator capsule and more water. During the afternoon, I started to feed a little hungry, so I ate 2 more chewable tablets to help curve my hunger and a few slices of apple.

As previously mentioned, today is also my body blast class at my gym. This class is an hour-long continuous combination of cardio and weight training exercises.

I always try to make sure I eat a substantial lunch before I go to my exercise class in the evenings. I was having reservations about going to the gym because I only had liquids during the day. I really thought I would not feel well because of the high intensity level of the class. I than reminded myself to stop being so negative and try it out. The only way I would know if I could still do the class was to try it, and if I felt I could not go on, just stop.

Not knowing what to expect, I decided to do the class and I am happy to report, that I survived the class. Not only did I complete the class, I attacked each exercise with the same intensity level I would give if I had eaten a meal for lunch! I felt really good. I did not feel dizzy or nauseous. This product is truly awesome!

I came home from the gym and had my 4th and final cleansing mix for the day, some more water, a few grapes (only a few) and than I went to bed.

DAY 2 – Pre-Cleansing Day – Monday 9th October 2006.

Day 2 started off with an appointment at 8 o’clock, so by the time I arrived to work, I was very hungry!

Normally, my breakfast would consist of a banana, fresh fruit salad and a bowl of apple and cinnamon cereal (yes I know high in sugar). Today’s breakfast consisted of a meal replacement shake, a banana and a natural accelerator capsule. I am also drinking plenty of water!

After drinking the shake, I noticed I am not as hungry as I was yesterday. So far, the only snack I had before lunch was a granola bar. Maybe my body is getting adjusted to the change.

My company has a staff cafeteria that serves hot meals, soups and salads. Today’s menu was:-

Chicken Tandori with Cucumber Raita (a sauce made with cucumbers)

Grilled Fish with Tomato Basil Sauce

Spiced Rice

Saute Green Beans

Fried Oriental Noodles

I normally bring my lunch from home, but decided to buy lunch from the cafeteria. So for lunch I ate:-

3 small chicken drumsticks (without the cucumber sauce)

A small portion of spiced rice

Coleslaw (which I ended up not eating)

1 Natural Accelerator Capsule

Plenty of water

Although my food portions were small, I felt rather full when I finished. That is a good thing, because it cuts down on my snacking.

My evening meal consisted of a meal replacement shake, and plenty of water.

This completes day 2 of my program, the Pre-Cleanse stage. Overall, I feel pretty good; no more headaches or major side effects (knock on wood!).

Now folks, the real fun is about to start. Tomorrow marks the start of day 3 – the Cleanse Day. I am getting a bit nervous again, because I do not know what to expect. On top of that, Tuesdays is the day I go to the gym for the ‘Body Blast’ Class in the evening. This is a grueling class which consists of an intense cardio and weight-training circuit course. Not only is this an hour-long class, it is CONTINUOUS! That’s right, you heard me, non-stop, no breaks! The trainer does not tell you when to take a break; you have to take one yourself. I drink water whenever we change from one exercise to the next. On a good day, I am dripping with sweat; I can’t imagine how I will feel after tomorrow. I am going to have to drink even more water and make sure I am very, very hydrated.

Stay tuned tomorrow and I will tell you how I survived…………….or not!

I started out with the intention of losing my weight thru diet and exercise. I did not want to incorporate any diet pills or products.

I have read articles which state that some health and weight problems can be attributed to the foods we eat, and the additives and preservatives found in these foods. These impurities are stored in the body and over a period of time, the body eliminates these toxins. Sometimes the body cannot eliminate all these impurities fast enough, and these impurities can have an adverse effect on the kidneys, liver, and colon.

This information has made me rethink my overall outlook of the resources available to me. I now know that diet and exercise alone might not be enough. I have decided to incorporate a body cleansing regime as part of my weight loss program to help clean my system of these toxins.

There are so many products to choice from on the market today for Body Cleansing. The product I decided to try is ISAGENIX. I have read and heard so much positive results from people using this product. This product not only benefits persons who are overweight, but athletics, bodybuilders and individuals in great physical condition.

With the Isagenix program, you can choose from the 9 DAY Program, or the 30 DAY Program. Once you achieve your weight loss goal using the 9 Day or 30 Day Program, you continue with the Maintenance for Life Program.

An instructional guide is included with the products. A progress chart is enclosed in the guide. This is where you can write down the before and after measurements and also keep a record of your progress.

You can also have a personal 'cleansing' coach, who can offer advice and guidance whenever you need it.

DAY 1 – Pre Cleansing Day – Sunday 8th October 2006

Today is day 1 of my 9 day body cleansing regime to help my body eliminate the toxins and hopefully, lose a few inches or pounds. I am a little anxious and excited at the same time, as I do not know what to expect.

For breakfast, I started off with an 8oz glass of the ISALEAN Meal Replacement Shake, a banana and one ISAGENIX Natural Accelerator Capsule. The shake is made by mixing 2 ounces of the meal replacement powder with 8 ounces of water.

Lunch consisted of broiled fillet fish, a few boiled potatoes, (no butter) and fresh cooked string beans. I also had another natural accelerator capsule and lots and lots of water. By drinking so much water, I realized just how much my body was dehydrated. Water is such an essential part of everyone’s daily diet, and I strongly encourage everyone to make a conscious effort to drink as much water as possible to help the body flush out any impurities.

During the day, I drank lots and lots of water. Between breakfast and lunch I ate a few grapes, and one kiwi fruit.

Before I knew it, it was time for supper. I would usually eat a light meal, but instead I had another 8 oz glass of meal replacement shake. I did not have another accelerator capsule as I can only take 2 capsules a day.

I have a confession to make………I ‘cheated’ a little bit (yes, already!). During the course of the evening, I ate a few corn curls. I know I am starting off on the wrong foot, but I was so hungry! Maybe, my body was just going thru withdrawal symptoms, because I am so used to stuffing my face every five minutes with fruits or the occasional ‘sinful’ snack.

Besides the temporary ‘hiccup’, the only side effect I noticed was a slight headache, but this quickly subsided as I increased my water intake.
