DAY 2 – Pre-Cleansing Day – Monday 9th October 2006.

Day 2 started off with an appointment at 8 o’clock, so by the time I arrived to work, I was very hungry!

Normally, my breakfast would consist of a banana, fresh fruit salad and a bowl of apple and cinnamon cereal (yes I know high in sugar). Today’s breakfast consisted of a meal replacement shake, a banana and a natural accelerator capsule. I am also drinking plenty of water!

After drinking the shake, I noticed I am not as hungry as I was yesterday. So far, the only snack I had before lunch was a granola bar. Maybe my body is getting adjusted to the change.

My company has a staff cafeteria that serves hot meals, soups and salads. Today’s menu was:-

Chicken Tandori with Cucumber Raita (a sauce made with cucumbers)

Grilled Fish with Tomato Basil Sauce

Spiced Rice

Saute Green Beans

Fried Oriental Noodles

I normally bring my lunch from home, but decided to buy lunch from the cafeteria. So for lunch I ate:-

3 small chicken drumsticks (without the cucumber sauce)

A small portion of spiced rice

Coleslaw (which I ended up not eating)

1 Natural Accelerator Capsule

Plenty of water

Although my food portions were small, I felt rather full when I finished. That is a good thing, because it cuts down on my snacking.

My evening meal consisted of a meal replacement shake, and plenty of water.

This completes day 2 of my program, the Pre-Cleanse stage. Overall, I feel pretty good; no more headaches or major side effects (knock on wood!).

Now folks, the real fun is about to start. Tomorrow marks the start of day 3 – the Cleanse Day. I am getting a bit nervous again, because I do not know what to expect. On top of that, Tuesdays is the day I go to the gym for the ‘Body Blast’ Class in the evening. This is a grueling class which consists of an intense cardio and weight-training circuit course. Not only is this an hour-long class, it is CONTINUOUS! That’s right, you heard me, non-stop, no breaks! The trainer does not tell you when to take a break; you have to take one yourself. I drink water whenever we change from one exercise to the next. On a good day, I am dripping with sweat; I can’t imagine how I will feel after tomorrow. I am going to have to drink even more water and make sure I am very, very hydrated.

Stay tuned tomorrow and I will tell you how I survived…………….or not!
